Class Activities and Assignments :

 

Tuesday, January 17, 2017:  Students completed a pre-reading task as bell work, and then read through Act I, scene iii of Hamlet.  As homework, students should be answering study guide questions and completing graphic organizer and PLOTTSS notes.

 

Wednesday, January 18, 2017:  Students finished reading Act I of Hamlet in class.  As homework, students are to finish all graphic organizer and study guide work, as well as PLOTTSS notes.

 

Thursday, January 19, 2017:  Students completed a timed PLOTTSS writing task and received a new PLOTTSS note-taking assignment.  Students turned in their Act I work and then began viewing Act I of Hamlet.  As homework, students should review Act I in preparation for the quiz that will be given tomorrow, and begin completion of their new PLOTTSS notes.

 

Friday, January 20, 2017:  Students completed their viewing of Act I of Hamlet and then took their first quotes quiz.  There is no homework in AP English this weekend, aside from completing PLOTTSS notes that will be due at the start of class Tuesday.

 

Monday, January 23, 2017:  Students entered class and read through the first part of Act II of Hamlet.  Students are to complete all PLOTTSS notes over their selected sonnet in preparation for the timed writing task in class tomorrow.

 

Tuesday, January 24, 2017:  Students completed the first sonnet analysis task with their PLOTTSS notes and turned both the notes and the writing in for scoring.  Students picked up a new PLOTTSS task and resumed reading Act II of Hamlet.  As homework, students are to work on Act II study guide material and begin completion of a new set of PLOTTSS notes.

 

Wednesday, January 25, 2017:  Students read the remainder of Hamlet, Act II, and then began viewing a film adaptation of that act.  As homework students are to finish all Act II study guide and graphic organizer work and review the act in preparation for the quotes quiz.
